To the extent people become aware that Democrats got more votes for US House than Republicans did, this puts the Republican Party in an awkward position.  It has veto power over the national legislative body, but it doesn't have legitimacy because it was outpolled for both houses of congress and president.

Also, Monday, December 17, will be an interesting day to test divisions within the Republican Party.  Romney electors have been elected in 24 states.  Will any of them vote for someone other than Romney, such as Ron Paul?
