[EL] AALS Section on Legislation and Law of the Political Process

The AALS Legislation and Law of the Political Process Section will have its
annual business meeting immediately following its program featuring Justice
Scalia and Bryan Garner on "Reading Law:  The Interpretation of Legal
Texts."  The program will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 3:30
to 5:15 in Grand Ballroom A at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.



The main order of business at the section meeting will be the election of a
new executive committee.  In addition, we would welcome your comments on an
online repository of syllabi and exams, created by executive committee
Michael Dimino and available at exchange.westlaw.com (search “Groups” for
"Legislation”) using your Westlaw "one-pass"  password.  Try it out.
 Finally, we plan to discuss the longer term possibility of splitting the
section into two -- one for legislation and the other for election law/law
of the political process.


Hope to see you there.  If there are additional items you'd like to discuss
at the annual meeting, please let one of us know.
