[EL] Somewhat misleading article on Pennsylvania Judge and on Pa. S. Ct. Justice

It appears that the author of the newspaper article that Rick linked to was not very careful. The article notes that one member of the Pa. S. Ct., Orie Melvin, has been suspended. That creates the possibility that the remaining justices could deadlock 3-3 in the voter ID case, in any appeal, on partisan lines, making the trial judge's decision (whatever it is) the final word. The author writes:

"Orie Melvin was suspended in May after Allegheny County prosecutors charged her with misusing the legislative staff of her sister, former state Sen. Jane Orie, to work on her campaign. Orie was convicted on related charges and sentenced last month to 21/2 to 10 years in prison."

I could be wrong, but if I understand the matter correctly, it was the sister, Jane Orie, who was convicted. The justice, Orie Melvin, has only been charged. The author should have been more careful, so as not to create a misimpression.
