[EL] Where Johnson is making a difference

In answer to the query asked yesterday about Gary Johnson (see below),
one place Johnson's candidacy is having an effect seems to be New
Mexico, where local political commentators think Johnson's candidacy
was the last straw in removing New Mexico from the swing state list
for this presidential election. New Mexico was a very close vote in
2000 and 2004 (though Obama won by a decent margin in 2008), and
recently elected a Republican governor (who is presently achieving
minor national prominence). But Johnson is at present polling around
10% in the state, pulling mostly from Romney, which, coupled with
demographic trends, seems to have taken New Mexico off of the swing
state radar.
