    "Is the Supreme Court About To Swing Another Presidential Election?
    If the court cuts early voting in Ohio, it could be a difference
    maker in the Buckeye State." <http://electionlawblog.org/?p=41725>

I have just written this new article
<http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/politics/2012/10/if_the_supreme_court_cuts_early_voting_in_ohio_it_could_swing_the_state.html>
for /Slate/.  It begins:

    The Supreme Court
    <http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/decision2012/ohio-voting-dispute-makes-its-way-to-the-supreme-court/2012/10/13/e197333c-1541-11e2-be82-c3411b7680a9_story.html>
    will soon decide
    <http://www.scotusblog.com/2012/10/last-weekend-voting-urged/>
    whether to reverse a federal court ruling requiring the state of
    Ohio to let its counties decide whether to permit early voting
    during the weekend before Election Day. With the presidential race
    tight in Ohio
    <http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/10/13/uk-usa-campaign-idUKBRE89C0KH20121013>,
    and the presidency potentially turning on the state's electoral
    votes, the court's decision could help determine who will win the
    White House. While the Obama campaign has a strong policy argument
    for the extension of early voting to include this final weekend, its
    constitutional claim is a major stretch.

I missed this Buzzfeed piece
<http://www.buzzfeed.com/rosiegray/inside-the-planning-of-a-james-okeefe-sting>
in late September. Its subhead: "The conservative provocateur planned a
sting of SEIU in 2010 --- based off information from a source of John
Fund's, with Foster Friess as a potential investor. It didn't end up
working out. (Updated below)"

    "Outside Groups For Romney Coordinate TV Ad Buys"

NPR
<http://www.npr.org/2012/10/15/162921986/superpacs-for-romney-coordinate-tv-ad-buys>:
"Since April, more than 825,000 presidential campaign ads have been
broadcast in the battleground states. Oddly, the dominant Republican
voice on TV hasn't been that of nominee Mitt Romney. The big advertisers
are four heavily funded SuperPacs and tax-exempt groups."

Must-listen.  Part II coming tonight.
