(Did anyone else object to how if you actually took his metaphor more
literally, it would describe what's probably a bigger problem in US
elections - extremely low turnout primaries, potent with extremists, which
then leave the general electorate to take a pick among non-representative
candidates (I'll set the gerrymandering issues aside), distorting the heck
out of the republic?
