[EL] Criminal probe of Coordination?

It was always my impression that the biggest problem with the Sorenson affair was the alleged funneling of money/lack of reporting issue (identified by Joseph Birkenstock below). I suppose I am unaware of any issues regarding independent vs. coordinated communication allegations related to this particular matter. If I were to venture a guess, I would speculate that some sloppy reporting by the DM Register might be the source of some confusion here. The links I provided below were meant primarily to provide some additional factual background on the Sorenson case, not necessarily to provide support for any legal theory/argument one way or another. I should have made that clearer in my earlier response.

I think I'm with Brad on this one. The DM Register piece and the blog post to which Colin Smith linked earlier both describe potential unreported and excessive (and perhaps otherwise illegal) in-kind contributions, and, to my eye, the much scarier problem of a potential conspiracy to arrange unreported and excessive in-kind contributions. Is there another aspect to this story that involves independent vs. coordinated communications?

Many paragraphs in it mentions DoJ and that claim. (It is a muddled piece).

Doesn't appear to have anything to do with coordination. Am I missing something?

A muddled piece from the Des Moines Register suggests (another) DoJ criminal probe of coordination? (Ken Gross spoke of one at PLI. Not sure whether this is the same matter).
