I'm not going to be there, but because you've not determined where you're going to eat yet, I feel it is my duty as an Election Law listserver and friend to all to recommend some restaurants. First, for the dinner (assuming you are going to be downtown/French Quarter), I recommend Galatoire's and they have enough space to fit a large group of people. http://www.galatoires.com/ Say "hi" to Francis Ford Coppola while you're there. He has his regular table and I believe he orders the lamb chops, which you should do, too.
Also, Luke's (with an umlaut) is excellent as well. http://www.lukeneworleans.com/. Café du Monde for breakfast. http://www.cafedumonde.com/ The fried oyster po'boy at the Palace Café on Canal is unbelievable as well.
Finally, if you're going to be anywhere near Uptown, Upperline Restaurant has probably the most delicious food I've ever eaten. http://www.upperline.com/ It is indescribably good.
Enjoy!

Subject: [EL] Election Law Dinner at AALS
I hope to see many of you at AALS in New Orleans this weekend!
Dan Tokaji and I thought it might be nice to gather the election law folk for a dinner on Saturday night. Place TBD. Please let me know by tomorrow (Thurs.) at 12:00 whether you would like to attend, and I'll make a reservation.
Best,
Josh
