Good catch, Richard. Another interesting voice for it this week was the
National Review's Reihan Salam
http://www.nationalreview.com/agenda/350363/recipe-more-coastal-republicans-reihan-salam

As the Economist p;oints out (and I argue in detail in a recent coauthored
law review articlke (
http://lawreview.richmond.edu/the-right-choice-for-elections-how-choice-voting-will-end-gerrymandering-and-expand-minority-voting-rights-from-city-councils-to-congress/
), changing winner-take-all to single transferable vote /choice voting can
be done by statute, and it's fully consistent with our political history
and expereince.

We think this conversation has never been more timely and are excited that
it will be the first topic in our "Democracy Next" series with NYU-DC,
taking place on June 27th -- with speakers Norm Ornstein, Marie Wilson,
Jamie Raskin, Krist Novoselic and past and current Members of Congressman
John Porter (R-IL), James Clyburn (D-SC) and Keith Ellison (D-MN). See
