The Voter Participation Center mailers don't contain any of the "we'll tell
your neighbors if you don't vote" language, though. That's a new twist, I
think:

As I told a reporter, I believe Don Green at Yale and others have worked on
providing voter history as a way of shaming people into voting.  So I don't
think this is anything new, is it?
