I am sure she would be happy to hear from anyone who can help her.  I e-mailed her that I didn't think I was the best person to answer her question, but that I would put her question on our list.

Subject: question for story

I'm a reporter with
the San Antonio Express-News/Houston Chronicle, working on a story about the
laws that govern voter registration drives in Texas. One of the things I'm
looking at is how Texas' laws compare to those in other states. Mark Jones with
Rice University suggested you may know about this. I did find a study on the
Brennan Center for Justice's site from November 2012, but didn't know if there's
something more recent out there.

Thanks very much for
your consideration,
Peggy
