The Los Angeles County Law Library will host an on-line game to inform about ballot box access and voting rights
Play the game! An online educational exercise has been designed to explore the evolution of voting rights in the United States and the impact it may have had on key presidential elections. In particular, this online simulation exposes how certain groups were locked out of the ballot box through substantial periods of American history. The simulation is open to everyone, however, it was designed with secondary students specifically in mind and is a quick, fun way to present a serious and thought-provoking subject.
The game will be available on-line at http://www.publiclawlibrary.org/law-week throughout Law Week. Voting will open on April 28 and close on May 3. Results will be posted the following week. We hope you will find this interesting and informative!
