I hope many of you will be at the APSA convention at the end of this month in Washington and in particular will attend one or both of the excellent panels Bruce Cain and Rick Hasen have organized for the Law and Political Process Study Group.

One of the hallowed traditions of that study group is the Election Law dinner held the evening of the group's panel. The dinner is for members of the panels and for other friends of the group. The main qualification for being a friend of the group is the willingness to have dinner with us. We usually eat at a moderately-priced (more or less) place in walking distance from the convention hotel. This year the dinner will be the evening of Saturday, August 30.

If you would like to attend the dinner, please send me an e-mail by the end of this week to that effect and mention if you are coming with a companion. This will not be your final deadline and it need not be a firm commitment, but please let me know if you think you are likely to come. That will give me a good estimate on the final number, which will help in selecting a restaurant and making a reservation.

Thanks, and I hope to see many of you at the convention.

             Best,
