[EL] The Charges Against Governor Perry

Let me clarify my last answer (with a red-faced hat tip to Hugh Brady):
Perry would appoint a replacement for a district attorney who left office
until the next general election — and not necessarily for the entire
remainder of the term. Had Lehmberg resigned last summer, her
Perry-appointed replacement would serve until after this November's
election. Sorry for the misdirection.
