<http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2014/02/20/ohio-republicans-move-to-curb-early-absentee-voting/>:
"Ohio voters will have shorter windows in which to cast early ballots
under a proposed measure headed to Gov. John Kasich's desk this week
after the Republican-dominated legislature moved to cut almost a full
week off the state's early voting window. The House on Wednesday passed
a measure that would end what's known as 'golden week,' the six days of
early voting during which a voter can both register to vote and cast an
in-person absentee ballot at the same time."

<http://www.fresnobee.com/2014/02/20/3782266/arizona-senate-repeals-2013-election.html>:
"Republicans pushing the repeal say they are following the will of the
voters and expressed worry that the many provisions in the bill could
not be changed without a supermajority vote of the Legislature if it is
repealed by voters. Democrats worry the provisions will be re-enacted.
Repealing the law will cancel the voter referendum."

*//*
Tuesday, February 25, 2014 | 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
William B. Saxbe Law Auditorium
The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law

Each presidential election, as well as state and local elections,
raises its own set of issues. In 2000, it was the need for standards
for the counting of votes in Florida (as well as other
jurisdictions). In subsequent elections, issues of voting machine
accuracy, registration, voter identification, long lines to vote,
and counting continue to exist and affect the way voting in America
occurs, and is perceived to occur. On top of these issues,
fundamental rights involving campaign speech and redistricting raise
questions about the current state of elections. This town hall will
allow participants to voice their thoughts on the current state of
our electoral process.
