[EL] Fwd: my Hobby Lobby op ed

I'm an attorney with Alliance Defending Freedom, which represented
Conestoga Wood Specialties (the other, lesser-known petitioner in what is
known as 'the 'Hobby Lobby case'). It is difficult for me not to respond to
what is, at best, Professor Askin's gross misunderstanding of what was at
stake for the Green and Hahn families (the owners of Hobby Lobby and
Conestoga Wood Specialties). But, as has been correctly pointed out, the
Hobby Lobby decision has *absolutely nothing *to do with election law and
should never have been brought up on this list serve. I shall therefore let
Professor Askin's erroneous statements go unchallenged and his wrong
characterizations go uncorrected, *because this discussion does not belong
on this list serve*.

Joe
