Re *McCullen v. Coakley*: "it was clear that there was a bitter divide
between the five-man conservative side and the liberal bloc, which included
the three female justices, as to how much protection would ultimately be
allowed for clinic visitors."
I confess that, among other things, I don't exactly understand this
description about *McCullen*, in which Chief Justice Roberts wrote the
majority opinion, joined by Justices Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and
Kagan; in which Justice Scalia wrote an opinion concurring in the judgment,
joined by Justices Kennedy and Thomas; and in which Justice Alito wrote a
separate opinion concurring in the judgment.
