[EL] FYI? My National Law Journal op-ed on the coming end of campaign finance reform

Dear Ilya:

Good questions that I confess I am still working out. My preliminary
answer is that the Court has gotten it mostly wrong on the money and
politics issues from the days of Buckley on and simply saying more public
funding is not necessarily the whole answer but a piece of it. I actually
do believe that there are other compelling interests to justify limits on
both contributions and and expenditures and we need to rethink some of them
as well as simply begin to recognize, as I argue, that money is not the way
to allocate political power.
