_CPI reports._

As much as I love my friends at CPI, I won’t be adopting their “jumbo
joint” terminology for these JFCs which are thriving thanks to McCutcheon
Actually these are much different than the "wild hypothetical's" the
reformers tried to scare the Court with. Those "wild hypothetical's" had a
bunch of candidates coming together in a jfc and then funneling the money to
one candidate. It is obvious that that is not happening. In all the examples
listed in the CPI report each member of the joint fundraising comm will
keep the money they receive. So no "solicitation of 3.5 million going to one
candidate" as they claimed.
I am sure the reformers are very relieved and will take back everything
they said. Jim Bopp
