[EL] Mass SJC strikes down false-campaign-statements law

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court today held that a state law, Mass.
G.L. c. 56, § 42, that made it a crime to publish a false statement about a
candidate for public office violates the right of free speech guaranteed by
the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights. The unanimous decision in
