[EL] primary filing deadlines

Excellent, thank you!

For anybody who can’t wait, I’m tallying it myself for a project, at this point Jim Gilmore has missed out on filing in states worth 559 delegates, while Pataki has missed out of 514. If/when those numbers hit 1237 they are mathematically eliminated from winning enough delegates to be the nominee of the GOP (although there’s always the brokered convention, unbound delegates, and other caveats…). And my review of the numbers suggests that date cannot come before the February 1 Iowa caucuses for Pataki even if he misses every deadline between now and then, and Gilmore only needs to qualify in one state, any state, to stave off mathematical elimination as well before the caucuses as well.

Best,

Ballot Access News is doing that. The Dec 1 2015 print issue had the list of all candidates who had qualified for the Rep and Dem primaries in the 5 states where that was known. Since then new deadlines have passed and BAN blog covers who is on. ballot-access.org. The Jan 1 2016 will have it for the states that weren't covered in the Dec 1 2015 print issue.

Anybody know of a single source that is tracking which candidates have succeeded or failed at filing for the various state primaries by the deadine? Ballotpedia has a terrific site listing all the deadlines (https://ballotpedia.org/Important_dates_in_the_2016_presidential_race), but I haven’t seen anyone tracking who made the deadline and who didn’t. Gilmore and Pataki have both missed Texas’ deadline, prompting my interest. http://www.texastribune.org/2015/12/14/gilmore-pataki-miss-filing-deadline-texas-primary/
