Indeed. Turnout in Israel aslo was over 70% overall, which is actually
relatively low among that many established democracies that don't have
winner-take-all elections that isolate meaningful participation to only a
portion of the electorate.
I'm a backer of proportional representation voting rules for the United
States, but focused for Congress on more moderate, candidate-centric,
statutory systems of districts of three-to-five seats using ranked choice
voting -- as articulated nicely in pieces last year by Reihan Salam in Slate

pieces by staffers yesterday suggesting that that United States has
