Subject: [EL] APSA Election Law Dinner

Friends,

Rick has informed you of the APSA panels sponsored by the Law and Political Process Study Group In Philadelphia in the days before Labor Day. Since time immemorial, it has been the practice of the LPPSG to organize a dinner for members of the panels and friends of the LPPSG. This year, the dinner will be Friday night, at a restaurant to be named later.

If you would like to attend the dinner, please let me know by private email. If you are reserving a place for more than one person, please give me the name and, preferably, the email address of each person. If you notify me not later than Sunday, August 28, I'll assure that you are included. After that, I'll do the best I can with the restaurant, but won't guarantee it. The sooner you can let me know the better, so I can give a good estimate to a restaurant next week.

The qualifications to be a friend of the LPPSG eligible to attend are as follows, and are strictly enforced:

                        1. You must not have been convicted of felonious assault or other violent crime against a member of the group.

                        2. You must be willing to have dinner with us. (Experience suggests this is the more onerous qualification.)

This has always been a pleasurable event and I hope those of you who will be attending the convention and do not have other plans for Friday night will consider joining us.

                      Best,

                 Daniel Lowenstein
