The Crossroads GPS application materials have been compiled, analyzed and posted via the excellent work of Robert Maguire at the Center for Responsive Politics, available at: https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2016/02/how-crossroads-gps-beat-the-irs-and-became-a-social-welfare-group/

Subject: [EL] Crossroads GPS

Would the grant of 501(c)(4) status to Crossroads GPS have been a one-page letter saying, "We recognize you"? Or would it have had some analysis about why the organization meets the requirements?

The Associated Press article said, "The agency granted tax-exempt status in November but only recently updated its database to reflect the outcome." What's the URL for the database?

Inquiring minds want to know.
