The Kentucky Law Journal and UK College of Law will host a symposium
entitled “An Elective Perspective:  Judicial Regulation of Politics in an
Election Year” on Friday, January 22, 2016, at the College of Law.



The all-day event will feature panels of legal scholars from around the
country and local attorneys discussing topics that include voter
identification laws, gerrymandering, referendum initiatives, election
litigation, campaign finance, the constitutional right to vote, and the
book *Ballot Battles*, which is about the history of contested elections in
the United States.



The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
