There is definitely a correlation between the frequency which with Trevor
Potter posts and the value people get out of this listserv. I don't think
he's posted in a while so I'm not surprised if people are feeling inclined
to leave at the moment and are even disparaging it as a blog.
There are setting to receive threads in one email each day instead of
getting emails for every post. There are also ways to filter emails into
folders, out of your inbox. There might be a listserv setting to not get
any emails but still be allowed to post.
I am still a big fan of this listserv. I drafted something about the
constitutionality of plurality voting but I'm thinking about sharing it
after the election, when things are less noisy, if at all (or maybe before
the election, if I change my mind; maybe I'll do it tomorrow even.).
I drafted something about revisiting the question of constitutionality of
not letting political spending be tax deductible/not letting 501c3s spend
to support candidates, but my thesis felt too messy too share and like I
could not fix it quickly.
