[EL] data sets on state reg and voting policies

Hi, all.

I am looking for publicly available collections of which policies related to election administration states had for which year. I realize that is a broad list of possible variables, but I am looking for registration deadlines, SDR, EDR, in particular. Ideally, the list(s) would run up to Nov 2016 and include start (or end) dates of policy changes. Convenience voting and even policies prior to NVRA (prior to 1/1/1995) would be valuable, too.

All too often appendices to published papers that used state policy variables are no longer available on the journal websites. Thus, I also would be interested in faculty or institutes that would like to collaborate on creating a definitive file and codebook with sources to place at DataVerse or somewhere equally stable. I realize disagreements will exist as which state had which policy. While that does complicate things, I think a transparent approach to such a list will allow researchers to make their own choices. For my part, I would be able to contribute some otherwise-unavailable NVRA-related data going back many years and put some student labor on the project.
