[EL] Oscar voting

If the Oscars had a system in which each of the two largest Hollywood studios was permitted to nominate its best entry for "best picture", and those two entries were on the Oscar ballot automatically; but no other film could be entered into the "best picture" race unless its backers spent $1,000,000 to qualify for the Oscar ballot, then, yes, I would advocate that members of the Academy should have a right to cast a write-in vote for any best picture entry that had not gained a place on the Oscar ballot.
