Good afternoon—

While touching on the line of political science and law, thought I would share a Democracy Fund blog post from our research fellow, Jack Santucci, from some of our CCES data. The toplines of the research indicates that there is a connection between people’s positive experience with pollworkers and their trust in the election. The frame that was most associated with it was whether the pollworkers knew the policies and procedures well. So while not earth-shattering, some evidence indicating that people’s trust in the election process may be bolstered by a good interaction with a competent pollworker. Please feel free to share. This is the second in a series that we are doing on information from our CCES data on election administration and views of the public.

This piece can be found here:

The first piece was by our Research Associate, Natalie Adona on views on voter registration— and how they learn about voter registration info. One data point is that most respondents said find out about voter reg deadline not from parties or campaign but from state or county websites or search engines.

Enjoy!

thanks,
