Greetings All:
As the outgoing EIC of *The University of Memphis Law Review*, and given
Professor Hasen's recent participation in the MLK50 symposium the
university hosted in April, I wanted to make a quick plug to the members of
this listserv for our journal's latest call for papers at the link below.
The *Memphis Law Review*'s symposium next spring will tackle contemporary
voting rights struggles under the theme, "Barriers at the Ballot Box:
Protecting or Limiting the Core of the American Identity?" Manuscripts are
due by October 1, and there's a bit more information at the link.

Our journal's symposium on the opioid crisis in March
<http://www.memphis.edu/law/programs/law-review-symposium.php> set
attendance records, and Memphis is a wonderful place to visit---so I hope
you will consider participating, assuming your professional and other
research obligations permit. (I'll note, too, that, even 50 years after
the assassination of Dr. King, Memphis is still struggling with election
issues

that
disproportionately affect minorities; thankfully, the state legislation to
which I refer in the oped died in committee this past session.)
I'm glad to field whatever questions about the symposium I can off-list,
but it's probably best to direct them to Sean O'Brien, Volume 49 Symposium
Editor, at memphislawarticles at gmail.com.
All my best,
George
