[EL] question about US Supreme Court procedure

Or they could simply call the clerk’s office. Once, long ago, in a similar situation, the Clerk’s office assured me that my brief would be distributed; I will say, however, that it was quite a relief to later see Justice Souter referring to it on the bench.
