[EL] A business reason: Uber/Lyft to the polls

Isn't it likely that a lot of people who live near a polling place would like to get a free ride somewhere else? There may be fewer people who want a free ride to the polling place. So the offer of a free ride from the polling place to somewhere the rider picks (saying that it is the rider's home or near the home) may be more subject to abuse.

That -- and perhaps not concerns about campaign finance law-- could explain the limitation imposed by the companies.
