[EL] Discussion Group for SEALS

Hi everyone,

Franita Tolson and I are putting together a Discussion Group for the SEALS
conference next summer, which is at the Boca Raton Resort & Club
<http://www.bocaresort.com/> from July 28-August 3, 2019.

Please let us know if you would like to join in. We are keeping the topic
and proposal purposefully broad so as to include as many people in the
field as possible. Right now, all we need is an indication that you plan to
come so that we can include you in the proposal.

Here is the proposal:

*Election Law: Looking Back at 2018 and Looking Ahead to 2020*

The 2018 midterm involved numerous issues on election law and voting
rights, including questions of voter registration, voter suppression,
campaign finance, and more. The 2020 presidential election season, which is
already underway, will provide further questions on these and other related
topics. This Discussion Group will explore issues involving our recent
elections. Discussants are encouraged to present scholarship--whether fully
formed or at the idea inception stage--that involve election law issues.
The goal is to have a robust discussion on the major issues in the field.
