I am very interested in the case De La Fuente v Padilla, pending in the US Supreme Court, 19-524. The issue is the California independent presidential petition, requiring almost 200,000 signatures to be collected in 105 days. The 9th circuit upheld it earlier this year. Because I am interested in this case, I check the US Supreme Court web page (concerning this case) very often.
On November 27 the US Supreme Court web page said the case will be on the December 13, 2019 conference. But today, November 29, that line is missing. There is no reference to a conference.
By contrast, also on November 27, the Washington state presidential electors case was also put on the December 13, 2019 conference. Today, November 29, the line adding that case to that conference is still there.
Has anyone previously noticed instances when the court put a notice of a conference date on its own web page, and then a day or two later erased it?
