[EL] as this work week ends, California has not filed a notice of appeal in tax returns-ballot case

California officials have not filed a notice of appeal in Trump v Padilla, and it is now 5 pm Friday, meaning in all likelihood there won't be any such notice until Monday October 7 at the earliest.  And time is running out for setting up the California presidential primary ballot.
