[EL] Ranked choice voting surveys & Biden's VP pick: Kamala was tops in 1st choices and ranked choice vote tally

I thought this might be of interest to folks on this list. We've done a
series of ranked choice voting polls in recent years, and they provide a
rich degree of information about what voters think and how voters connect
their preferences to candidates.

Last week, we released a SurveyUSA ranked choice poll on 1000 Democratic
and unaffiliated voters to see their views on ranked choice voting
(*very *positive)
and their views about potential running mates for Joe Biden. Although I
think that choice of a running mate should be based on multiple factors,
it's notable that Biden's pick of Kamala Harris was a relatively popular
one. Sen. Harris led in first choices, she won the "instant runoff" tally
against Elizabeth Warren in the final round and she was preferred
head-to-head against the other five women polled. See more
