Hi all,
While a number of institutional/administrative assessments of state electoral preparedness have been conducted, as we enter the final months of the 2020 election, it will be essential to tap into more behavioral measures of performance and integrity. In addition to ongoing conversations with some on this list, I want to cast the net as wide as possible, and ask if anyone is working on, or would be interested in working on the provision of performance data, at least for key battleground states, as a type of early warning system, and as a way to assess the accuracy of the election results that become available on Election Night and the days that follow. Specifically, because states/counties only release this information sporadically, organizations need to build up collaborative reporting/data collection on the following types of information:
Reports of

  1. Protective equipment allocated/secured by county
  2. Voter registration apps/processed
  3. # polling places
  4. # polling workers
  5. Voting machines in use
  6. Ballots requested
  7. Ballots sent
  8. Ballots received
  9. Ballots counted/processed
  10. Ballots rejected
