[EL] Looking for data set on polling place locations (US)

There is no such dataset.  The Voter Information Project, which is sponsored by Democracy Works, gathers this information for use in various web applications during election time.  It’s a very labor intensive and expensive operation.  They don’t distribute the dataset beyond their tech partners for the purpose of directing people to their voting sites.

I have been contacted by a data scientist looking for information on polling place locations in the US. I know one can get such information from various state agencies (https://www.vote.org/polling-place-locator/), but he wants to know if anyone has an existing data set that they would be willing to share. I can provide more information or put you in touch with him if you contact me directly.

Ideally, such a data set would cover the last several elections cycles.
