[EL] NVRA Prohibition on Voter Registration Removals 90 Days Before Federal Elections: Special Elections / Runoff Primaries

There is nothing in that language to prevent a secretary of state or
registrar of voters, for partisan reasons, to purge the rolls beyond that
date and keep everything tied up in court until after the election. Then
there is no penalty for having done that and the result of the election
would not be negated. Call me a cynic, but these days nothing is over the
top. Not since Florida in 2000 and this year will set a new standard.

Before Federal Elections: Special Elections / Runoff Primaries

Hi All,

Thanks David.

My experience is that the implementation and interpretation of a law is
sometimes more complex than how it may initially look, and that there are
also statements in laws that are sometimes open to interpretation.

This may be such a situation.

The issue is still unresolved in my mind, and I would still value feedback
on this issue.
