Dear Election Law listserv: Today at 2pm pacific/5pm eastern, there is a virtual panel "Democracy During the Pandemic: Are Public Officials Making the Right Decisions?" sponsored by the University of Southern California Dornsife College.
At the event, I will present toplines from a new survey of local election administrators conducted in March and April 2020. We'll discuss the best practices being adopted by local election officials; and their beliefs about the impact of COVID19 on turnout in November. Other information will be discussed such as what are the most common practices local officials are adopting in the wake of coronavirus (such as encouraging vote by mail, social distancing, plans for poll workers, etc.). Other topics will include CDC distributive policy choices and decisions.
Other panelists include Professor Jane Junn and Nico Napolio.
