I suppose the Republicans could ask the full Court to grant a stay, now that Justice Kagan has refused to grant a stay and hasn't referred the matter to the full Court. Is that at all likely?

As expected<https://electionlawblog.org/?p=116361>, Justice Kagan has denied the petition without referring it to the full court.

We are still awaiting the ruling in the Pennsylvania petition before the Supreme Court, which could be a very big deal<https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/10/supreme-court-covid-voting-cases-pennsylvania-south-carolina.html>.
