Dear EL List,

I suspect the Kalikow School Poll's most recent results will be of interest to many on this list. We asked a number of questions about the integrity of the upcoming election and how people would view the results of the election if the results were not clear on Election Day and what changes would voters support if their candidate lost.

A few highlights:

  * 66% are worried about foreign interference in the election
  * 29.4% would have either major reservations or not trust the election results if it was not decided on Nov. 3
  * 58.3% think mail-in ballots are secure (major partisan splits here)
  * 34% of people think there were over 1 million fraudulent ballots cast in 2016
  * If their preferred candidate loses, there is broad support for changing the way we choose presidents (61.3%), with 57.6% supporting the national popular vote specifically
  * If their preferred candidate loses, 36.6% would support a constitutional convention; 39.3% would support seceding from the union

The executive summary with additional breakdowns of these results is available here: https://www.hofstra.edu/pdf/academics/colleges/hclas/gov-policy-international/kalikow-poll-0920.pdf

Best,
Craig
