[EL] readings on Internet/Social Media impact

For a course I am taking on at the last minute, I'm looking for readings on the impact of social media and the Internet on elections and speech. I realize that is a very broad area comprising hundreds of articles (if not more).

However, if you have a syllabus (or a section of one) on this general topic, or a list of articles that you've found particularly useful in teaching, I would appreciate hearing about that.
