Due respect to my old mentor, Ben, but the election laws are to be created by the several State legislatures. They are closest to the people.

And the “disinterested expert” rubric — from environment, to health, to any number of other policy realms — has long since been discredited in our beloved system of Late Progressivism. There are no “disinterested persons” — let alone experts — in elections. There are those bound by structure... and those contemptuous of structure.
