Starting tomorrow (if all goes technically well), you will receive an email from me between 8 and 9 am PT that will be titled “Election Law Blog: ELB News and Commentary.” The email will come from me and it will contain a forwarded Feedblitz digest of the ELB posts that have appeared in the last 24 hours. In contrast to the past, where you received the entire FULL TEXT of the blog posts (except those that are exceptionally long and use the “MORE” feature), you will now get the headlines and about the first 20 words or so of the post. These brief descriptions will not include any hyperlinks. In order to read the full blog post, you need to click on the blog post title, and it will take you to the full post on the ELB website.
Why this change? This is part of a larger series of changes coming to ELB on July 1 (to be announced in full soon) that will make running ELB both more sustainable for me and substantively and stylistically better for all. By automating this process, I will not need to be cutting and pasting to create a daily email. I still plan to send breaking news posted on the blog manually to the listserv.
Each post will contain links to the post or posts over the last 24 hours. If there is a day with no content posted within 24 hours, no email will be sent.
Thanks, and please let me know if you have any questions.
Rick
