There is also a distinction between different types of audits. My understanding is that there are currently very few states that have the sort of random machine count vs paper ballot audit that Colorado and RI now require.

Hi all,
Apologies if my question sounds ignorant. I am curious about how many states conducted audits (including RLAs) in 2020. Looking at NCSL's doc<https://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/post-election-audits635926066.aspx> on audits and RLAs, I counted about 40+ states which require a "traditional" post-election audit, and/or an RLA.
I am wondering if all states audited their elections in 2020, including those who according to NCSL do not have anything on the books: LA, ME, MS, NH, SD?
Thank you in advance.
Lia
