[EL] IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ELECTION LAW LISTSERV: PLEASE READ AND RETAIN

In conjunction with my upcoming move to UCLA, we are moving the Election Law listserv from its current “Mailman” platform at UCI to a Google Groups platform housed at lists.ucla.edu. The specific address for this new group is: electionlaw at lists.ucla.edu<mailto:electionlaw at lists.ucla.edu>. That is the address you should use for posting anything to the list going forward.

If everything has worked correctly for you, you should have received TWO copies of this email. One will come from the old UCI platform and one from the new platform at UCLA. If you did not receive the new UCLA email, please let me know by sending me a private message (hasen at law.ucla.edu<mailto:hasen at law.ucla.edu>).

If you no longer wish to be part of the Election Law group, there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message coming from the new UCLA group.

If you wish to change to digest settings or otherwise make changes to your settings, you should be able to do using this link:

https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://groups.google.com/my-groups__;!!CzAuKJ42GuquVTTmVmPViYEvSg!JSz3Gn7V9mQ7JvROvxA-SI70oUYkfHNS58TllSPz5q6aE6oE_mcreRXpNXA4gdBcdeuUK2CHIJweXvD_2TJsVw$

This link should bring up list your Legislation group along with other groups to which you are subscribed (if any). Under the Subscription tab, you can change to “Digest,” “Abridged” or “No email” depending upon how you would like to receive email messages.

Unlike the current Election Law listserv, posters will NOT receive a copy of their own posts. But you can use the same google groups link above to see all “Conversations,” including all messages sent.

Again, to send a message to the Election Law listserv, send an email to:

electionlaw at lists.ucla.edu<mailto:electionlaw at lists.ucla.edu>.

In a short time, we will discontinue use of the Election Law listserv. We are working on retaining and posting a copy of the Election Law listserv archives. When that is accomplished, we will let you know where to find the archives. (By listserv rule, these are not for quoting without the permission of the poser.)

Thanks for everyone’s cooperation in a time of transition.

Rick
