A new campaign finance reform group, the Campaign and Media
Legal Center, asked me to pass on the following information
to the list about the availability of the Center's weekly
updates on the BCRA litigation, etc. (Full disclosure: I am
on the board of this organization.)

To get weekly updates on developments in the court challenge
to the Bipartisan Campaign Finance Reform Act of 2002, and
on FEC rulemaking for the Act, please e-mail the Campaign
and Media Legal Center at legalcenterinfo@camlc.org.

The Campaign and Media Legal Center is a nonpartisan
organization established in January, 2002, to represent the
public interest in strong enforcement of campaign finance
and campaign media law. Through its legal staff, it
participates in the administrative and legal proceedings in
which the nationās campaign and media laws are interpreted
and enforced. Based in Washington, the Legal Center is
associated with the University of Utahās Campaign and Media
Studies Program, created to support inquiry on these issues
through academic research, conferences, and internship
programs. The Program and the Legal Center have received
generous financial support from the Pew Charitable Trusts.

The Legal Center is participating in the defense of the
Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 from constitutional
challenge. In addition, the Center is commenting at the
Federal Election Commission as the agency begins the
critical process of rulemaking for the Act.

Finally, the Legal Centerās staff also produces a weekly
update on developments in the battle over the Act, including
litigation and rulemaking. The Center also posts court and
FEC documents, including rulings, orders, defendant and
plaintiff statements, and press releases to our website
<www.camlc.org> as soon as they are available.
