Users of the Lowenstein and Hasen election law casebook will
find the major issues in the BCRA litigation already covered
in depth in Chapter 18 of the casebook ("Parties, Soft
Money, and Issue Advocacy"). A supplement or update covering
specific BCRA issues will be available this summer.

As far as working in time to analyze the decision of the
three-judge court and the briefs in the Supreme Court, that
likely will have to await a spring course. The three-judge
court will hear oral argument on December 4.  The opinion
(or opinions) then likely would not issue before the first
of the year, and Supreme Court intervention likely would be
in the Spring of 2003.
