The 11th Circuit issued Weaver v. Bonner today. Here is the final
paragraph:

For the foregoing reasons, we find that the portions of Canon 7 [of
the Code of Judicial Conduct] and
the Rule 27 cease and desist request at issue in this appeal are
unconstitutional; defendants are entitled to qualified immunity; and
plaintiffs fail to allege extraordinary circumstances that would
require a special election. Accordingly, the orders of the district
court are AFFIRMED in part and REVERSED in part.
